As a partner of Visa, Worldwide Sponsor of the Olympic Games, gohenry will launch an Olympic Games campaign with Skateboarding Olympian and Team Visa athlete, Sky Brown, and offer a new range of Tokyo 2020 inspired Visa cards.
London, United Kingdom – Through its partnership with Visa, gohenry is launching a campaign for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Thanks to Visa, gohenry is providing exclusive content for its UK customers and inspiring a new Olympic-themed collection of its Visaprepaid debit cards for kids.
As part of this campaign the financial education app and prepaid Visadebit card* for 6-18-year-olds features Team GB and Team Visaskateboarder and Gold medal hopeful Sky Brown in its UK TV, digital and social media advertising in the run up to the Olympic Games and beyond, courtesy of Visa.
Sky will also feature on gohenry’s social media channels, taking part in exclusive content and signing a range of skateboarding and VisaOlympic-themed merchandise, which will be made available through competitions to gohenry’s 1.5 million plus membership base, all thanks to Visa.
At 13, Sky is the youngest competitor on the international circuit and is currently ranked third in the world overall. For most of her boarding career she did not have a coach, instead learning tricks from videos online.
Commenting on the partnership, Sky Brown said: “I’m so excited to be teaming up with Visa and gohenry – I think it’s so cool that gohenry gives kids and teens their own Visa prepaid debit card. The way Visa and gohenry help inspire independence in young people to really go out there, experience the world and achieve anything is something that I’m totally on board with.”
To celebrate Tokyo 2020, gohenry has issued a Visa Olympic-themed collection of five new Visa prepaid debit cards inspired by this year’s Games. The new cards will be available from 22nd July 2021 until the end of the year, featuring the official Tokyo 2020 mascots and designs inspired by the host country. With Connecting to Tomorrow being one of the themes of the Games, Visa blended elements rooted in Japan’s history with new inventions and cityscape, to show how the past links to the present and future in three of the card designs. The remaining two designs seek to convey the joy and excitement of the Games through the use of the official mascots.
gohenry’s CEO, Alex Zivoder, said: “Our aim is to set children and teens up for a financially fit future. Through our card and app, we encourage financial independence so kids can learn how to manage money in the real world.
