Former UK GM brings more than 25 years’ experience into Workday’s newly created UKI FSI team
Workday, Inc a leader in enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, today announced that Laurence Leyden has been appointed vice president of Workday’s UKI Financial Services Industry (FSI) team.
In this newly created role, Laurence will be leading the UKI FSI team, which is the first private sector verticalization team for Workday in EMEA. Financial services is a highly regulated industry where banks and investment organisations are facing increased pressure and complexity with reporting and accounting requirements that require speed, accuracy, and data insights. Workday’s new UKI FSI team demonstrates Workday’s commitment to helping organisations in this key industry sector derive maximum value from digital transformation solutions.
Laurence brings a wealth of industry experience to this role, with over 25 years’ experience within and selling to the financial services industry. He has held various senior roles at leading financial institutions and worked with organisations such as Barclays, HSBC, and Lloyds Banking Group, to enable their transformation journeys. Laurence has also held numerous positions at SAP, where he was general manager, running financial services in EMEA, and more recently, service industries, for Southern Europe.
